CORONAVIRUS UPDATE
As you probably already know, due to the state of emergency regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, all mass participation events are forced to cancel or postpone until such a time as spread of the disease is manageable by our medical system.  Unfortunately, Dismal Swamp Stomp Runfest is forced to cancel its 2020 event.  We hope you can understand and respect that due to the fact that most of the expenditures and work have been put into this year's event, there is no way that we can offer wholesale refunds.  Please read your options below at the below link

The Hickory High School Band Program includes a Concert Band, Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, The Marching Hawks (including color guard), Jazz Band, Winter Percussion Ensemble and Winter Guard. The Marching Hawks practice three days a week after school, support the Hickory Football team every weekend from September through November at their games, and participate in competitions and assessments. In addition, parents and students involved with the programs frequently participate in community events with local churches, restaurants and businesses, and visit elementary schools and senior living communities to perform holiday musical selections and spread cheer.

The band programs at Hickory High School are always actively seeking ways to be more involved and visible in the community that supports their activities. Students in the various music programs at Hickory High School recently founded the first chapter of the Tri-M Music Honor Society at the school. Tri-M activities increase students’ school and community involvement through music. Members of the Tri-M Honor Society are selected based on their academic and musical achievement, as well as their strength of character.
